Underworld
Dubnobasswithmyheadman

Underworld’s 1994 LP ‘Dubnobasswithmyheadman’ is arguably one of the most influential British electronic records of all time. 20 years on since its release, Underworld’s Rick Smith has remastered it to celebrate its anniversary. Presented as a deluxe reissue, this altered version of an iconic classic is more of a revamp than a rework, uncoverng an abundance of previously unreleased material and rare alternate mixes, offering a definitive version of its original companion.

Underworld
DRIFT Series 1

As a mammoth project by trance veterans Underworld, 'Drift' is a music-and-video experiment curated over a 52 week period. This is a unique and ambitious piece, designed to disrupt the monotonous single-album-tour cycle and driven by instinctual creativity. Now nearly a whopping 40 years in the game, Underworld are more hungry to experiment than ever.

Underworld & Iggy Pop
Teatime Dub Encounters

Underworld & Iggy Pop originally began collaborating with a view to coming up with something for the Trainspotting II film. Makes sense, and when you think about about it Underworld and Iggy have a lot of complementary attributes. This makes Teatime Dub Encounters a better record than it should be. ‘Bells & Circles’ has an early LCD Soundsystem thing going on, finding the exact midpoint between ‘All My Friends’ and ‘Us Vs. Them’. The rest of the EP flits between this dancefloor sound and more cerebral ambience.

Underworld
Barbara Barbara, We Face A Shining Future

UK dance music originals Underworld return with Barbara, Barbara We Face A Shining Future their first release in six years. The band’s tight synth pop dynamics and heavy, house percussion still feel fresh, as does their commitment to bringing some wit and silliness to electronic music. Available as vinyl LP and CD.

Underworld
Second Toughest In The Infants

Underworld’s 1996 album Second Toughest In The Infants is being reissued in great style here, as a double CD, double LP, or full-on 4CD box-set. All versions are fully remastered, and the box contains a brace of live, instrumental and alternate versions, including some totally unreleased material. Plus an essay from John Savage. On Universal.

Underworld
Beaucoup Fish

Underworld’s fifth album, the 1999 classic Beaucoup Fish gets the full remasters and super repackaging deal. After the success of Trainspotting and the single ‘Born Slippy’ of course, there followed ‘Push Upstairs’, ‘Jumbo’ and ‘Moaner’ in its wake. Their most successful album, in fact. Deluxe 4CD set has 40 tracks with unreleased stuff, alternates and B-sides, and 60-page booklet, all in a hard 12” x 12” case. Heavyweight double vinyl was cut at half-speed and remastered at Abbey Road. On Universal. Phew!
