The Twang
Amsterdam

Hot on the heels of 2019’s album, If Confronted Just Go Mad, Birmingham indie band The Twang are back with Amsterdam, an EP of acoustic songs. Three of them are brand spanking new, along with a version of their single Dream which is arranged to fit the mood of the EP.  Despite the stripped back production, these songs have The Twang stamp all over them.

The Twang
It Feels Like (You're Wasting My Time) / Tinseltown In The Rain

Birmingham’s favourite indie sons, The Twang, digitally released four singles taken from their If Confronted Just Go Mad album. Rather than just having them floating around in the ether, they are making solid, holdable product out of them as two ltd 7” singles. Here we have the double A sided It Feels Like (You're Wasting My Time) / Tinseltown In The Rain. Buy ‘em and wear ‘em out or buy ‘em and keep ‘em in pristine condition - the choice is yours!

The Twang
Everytime / Dream

So you downloaded the four singles from The Twang’s If Confronted Just Go Mad album, but that’s not good enough, you need a physical product you can hug and kiss, right? Well, luck you - the Birmingham indie band are releasing them as two limited 7” singles. Here we have the double A sided Everytime / Dream to have and to hold, forever and ever.

The Twang
If Confronted Just Go Mad

If Confronted Just Go Mad is the fifth album from Birmingham indie band The Twang. The album is the first to feature female vocals - from two singers they nicked from singer / songwriter Tom Grennan, although I’m sure it was amicable. The album was produced by Neil Claxton of Mint Royale fame and it features a guest appearance by spoken word artist, Polarbear.

The Twang
Either Way, It's The Best Of The Twang

Ten years into their career, indie boys The Twang now feel that they are in a position to compile and release a best-of album, featuring sixteen tracks grabbed from across their four albums to date. Hmmmm. Well, they’ve done it all the same, so you can get the excitedly-titled Either Way, It’s The Best Of The Twang from here if you want to. Released by Jump The Cut.

The Twang
Subscription

The Twang were part of the mid-noughties explosion of lad-rock bands that brought us The Fratellis et al, indeed Barry Fratelli served as an auxiliary touring member of The Twang for a time. Thirteen years and five albums later the Brummie five-piece have delivered heir latest long-player, Subscription. Double vinyl Lp or CD on Jump The Cut.

The Twang
NEONTWANG

NEONTWANG is the doggedly upper-case new record from The Twang, available from Jump The Cut on either CD or NEON green vinyl (see what they did there?). I seem to remember The Twang as being a fairly straight-forward indie guitar band, but either I’m wrong or they’ve developed over time: some rather more interesting production is present here.
