The Primitives
Spin-o-rama

The Primitives are so jangle pop that they named one of their compilation records 'The Lazy Recordings'; eat that up, indie rock slackers. They've recently woken from their slumber to release a couple of singles, but 'Spin-o-rama' is the real deal, a new full-length of late '80s/early '90s melodies, raucous guitar and lethargic confidence.

The Primitives
The Primitives Reworked By Modular

Original indie guys The Primitives find themselves as candidates for Elefant’s Reworked By series Modular, from Argentina, submit motorik-driven, synth-patterned versions of ‘Purifying Tone’ and ‘Lose The Reason’ that will delight all sorts of listeners. 7” in a retro-styled sleeve.

The Primitives
Galore

The Primitives and their bucketful of fuzz went less rejoiced than your average Jesus and Mary Chain record, but their early works betray a great sensibility for the distorting and occasionally playing of guitars. Galore was their final record for big corporate dudes RCA, and while it was originally released in 1991, it still exists now. As a reissue.

The Primitives
Spin-o-rama (single)

80s indie pop pioneers The Primitives are back with a new song from their forthcoming album 'Spin-O-Rama' and it's familiarly sprightly; employing their hallmark C86 guitar sound, this 7" single recalls the melodic jangle of yesteryear, with a chorus so catchy that it's worthy of a number 1 hit. In true Primitives style, the B-side contains a cover of an obscure gem 'Up So High', a long forgotton track originally recorded by a mid-sixties band called The What's New. Harking back to their pinnacle of 1988's 'Lovely', it's sure to get everyone in a spin for rest of the new material. 'Spin-O-Rama' is a limitied edition of just 500 copies, and includes a digital download.
