The Innocence Mission
Sun On The Square

The Innocence Mission have been around a while now, but Sun On The Square marks the Pennsylvania trio’s first LP for Bella Union. You can see why the likes of Sufjan Stevens and Iron And Wine list them among their favourite acts. The group’s mix of guitar, strings, ukelele and Karen Peris’ lovely voice has clearly had a strong influence on the work of both of those artists. The band stick to their guns on this album, but why change when you’ve got a good thing going?

The Innocence Mission
Befriended

The Innocence Mission are possibly the best band you may not have checked out yet if you like slow moving and dreamy folk music. Running since the late 80s they combine Don Peris's shimmering guitar patterns with sister Karen's stunning, intuitive singing. Befriended originally came out in 2003 on CD only so this is your first chance to get it on vinyl. Sufjan Stevens is a fan, Sam Beam of Iron and Wine is a fan. Now is your chance to see what they are making such a fuss about.
