The Charlatans
Wonderland

This was from back in 2001 when Twitter wasn't a thing and Tim Burgess had 'normal' hair. It was their seventh album and contained such smash hits as 'Love Is the Key' and 'A Man Needs to be Told'.  If that doesn't convince you to re-purchase then remember that Jamie Oliver said that this album has been a really big inspiration for his cooking.

The Charlatans
Melting Pot

A long overdue repress of the greatest hits album covering the earlier career of the Madchester survivors who weren't from Manchester. This has pretty much all the essential tracks from the years 1990 to 1997 when the Charlatans were signed to Beggars Banquet. Including indie disco staples, 'The Only One I Know' and 'Just When Your Thinking Things Over', a remix from the Chemical Brothers of 'Patrol' and lesser known gems like 'Can't Get Out Of Bed'. Double vinyl press.

The Charlatans
Up At The Lake

Up At The Lake by The Charlatans was originally released in 2004. In comparison to other albums by the North-West indie old-hats, it doesn’t seem to be quite as well remembered. The critics liked it back then though. Anyhow, here’s your chance to relive it with a lovely vinyl reissue. 180g LP on Virgin.

Tim Burgess
Inspired Again

Nearly a decade ago The Charlatans frontman, Tim Burgess got together with Ladyhawke, Deb Googe of My Bloody Valentine, Martin Duffy of Primal Scream, Josh Heyward of The Horrors and Stefan Halperin of The Klaxons to fight the post-christmas, pre-New Year lull by recording some songs. The album, As I Was Now, appeared on Record Store Day 2018. This single, Inspired Again is lifted from the album and features a cover of Suicide’s Cheree on the b-side. 7” single, limited to 300 copies on O Genesis.

The Charlatans
Totally Eclipsing

Now with their own exhibition, these indie veterans are having a pretty nice later career burst thank you very much. 'Totally Eclipsing' is a mini album released here as a standalone vinyl edition but also comes as part of a special expanded version of their most recent full length effort 'Different Days'.

The Charlatans
Over Again

The Charlatans are still going strong and here unleash a Christmas present to all their remaining fans in the form of this funky patchwork quilt of a song taken from their recent 'Different Days' opus. Not sure what is on the B-side as we haven't been given any information. Hopefully a life sized 3D hologram of Tim Burgess's head.

The Charlatans
Different Days

The Charlatans release their first single from their recent 'Different Days' LP and it's the title track and it includes a rather decent remix by those elder statespeople of electronica and industrial music Chris and Cosey. They add a disco pulse to the track and take almost everything else off.

Tim Burgess & Peter Gordon
Around EP

When he's making his hair into one amazing gigantic yellow ball, Tim Burgess is still busy with the music making. Following on from his collaboration with New York composer Peter Gordon he's drafted in some of his showbiz pals to remix. JD Twitch, Sonic Boom, David Cunningham and lady friend Nik Void are all here.

The Charlatans
Different Days

It's hard to fathom but as well as tweeting on a secondly basis Tim Burgess also manages to help make regular bursts of music both solo and with his beloved the Charlatans. It was hard to be anything but nice about their last album as a) it was genuinely good to have them back and b) if you did so the entire Twitter community would gang up on you. Anyway this is a brand new album from the band and the first since the sad passing of drummer Jon Brookes. Features guest spots from Anton Newcombe (the Brian Jonestown Massacre/Twitter), Johnny Marr (the Smiths/Twitter) and Paul Weller (not on Twitter).

The Charlatans
Trouble Understanding (Norman Cook Remix)

Two different sides of wildly popular 1990’s music are brought together on this piece of wax: the Britpop-indie of The Charlatans and the Big Beat party music of Norman Cook, aka Fatboy Slim. Trouble Understanding gets a smooth Balearic reworking that gives the tune a whole new energetic lease of life. Limited edition vinyl 12”, out on BMG.

The Charlatans
Sinkane with The Charlatans / Laura Cantrell with The Charlatans

Tim Burgess gave an instrumental version of The Charlatans song, Emilie to country singer Laura Cantrell. She wrote her own words in response to Burgess’ original lyrics. With the addition of pedal steel played by Son Volt’s Mark Spencer, the beautiful Emanuel was born. Singer and multi-instrumentalist Sinkane also recorded a version of Emilie. Both versions are now available on one 7” single.

The Charlatans
Modern Nature

‘Modern Nature’ is the brand new album from Manchester indie mainstays The Charlatans. It is the first release since 2010’s ‘Who We Touch’ and the first without the late Jon Brookes. Released in honour of their good friend and drummer, ‘Modern Nature’ features eleven new tracks and an abundance of contributions from Pete Salisbury (The Verve) and Stephen Morris of New Order to Factory Floor’s Gabriel Gurnsey and Kate Bush's backing singers. Sounds pretty special..

The Charlatans
Come Home Baby

Following on from the limited release last year of the Talking In Tones and Oh So singles, which sold like the hottest of hot cakes, is Come Home Baby, the new single by The Charlatans. Come Home Baby is taken from the band’s forthcoming album Modern Nature which will be their twelfth full-length release. Come Home Baby is available on 7” vinyl.

The Charlatans
So Oh

The first taste of The Charlatans’ forthcoming twelfth album Modern Nature, due in January. This 7” is in a limited edition of 500 (1 per customer please, form an orderly queue!), and in addition to the single So Oh on the A-Side, the B-Side has a remix of that track from The Brian Jonestown Massacre.

The Charlatans
Talking In Tones

The latest single from the Charlatans, a teaser for their as-yet-untitled 12th album, is being put out by none other than our friends at the Quietus! Apparently it's strange, haunting pop with Onyeabor-inspired rhythms and a big chorus, with Quietus alumni Grumbling Fur providing a "cone-friendly" remix on the other side.

The Charlatans
Tellin Stories

Tellin' Stories was the fifth album by Northwich area baggy troubadours the Charlatans but was by some way their most successful. The album was the final Charlatans record to feature Rob Collins who died in a car crash midway through production. It contains top ten hits in the North Country Boy, One To Another and How High. The pinnacle perhaps of their recording history and now out on heavyweight vinyl double LP.
