Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Ghosteen

Ghosteen is the new album from Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, the first since the heart-breaking Skeleton Tree in 2016. Recorded in Brighton, Los Angeles and Berlin, Cave says of the album that the songs on the first record are children and the songs on the second record are the parents. It seems he’s thought about it, anyway.

Lydia Lunch
Honeymoon In Red

A Lydia Lunch album recorded in 1982 is an exciting enough prospect even before I tell you that her backing band for Honeymoon In Red was none other than Nick Cave’s original band of bruisers The Birthday Party. And Thurston Moore even pops up for good measure! What a wild and dirty ride this album is. This reissue adds a bonus track and boasts remastered audio. On Bang!

Lovely Creatures: The Best of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds 1984-2014

Well look here the first ever career spanning collection of the music of Sir Nick Cave all the way from his debut 'From Her To Eternity' to date. Handpicked by Cave himself along with Mick Harvey and other Bad Seeds, the lads have even raided their archives for rare unseen photos and memorabilia for the book that comes with the limited edition ‘Super Deluxe’ version which also comes with a two hour DVD.  Four formats to choose from depending on your level of obsession with the man and his work.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
One More Time With Feeling

Director Andrew Dominik (Chopper, The Assassination of Jesse James…) documents the making of and the fallout that created The Skeleton Tree, the latest album by Nick Cave And The Badseeds. Filmed in Black and White, Colour and 3D, Once More… is deeply personal piece that reflects the anguish of the incomprehensible happening. Includes 3 short films by the director.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Skeleton Tree

The subject of a much-anticipated forthcoming documentary by Andrew Dominik, 'Skeleton Tree' is the latest offering from much-revered Aussie dark overlord Nick Cave and his inimitable Black Seeds. Hot on the heels of 2013's critically acclaimed 'Push the Sky Away', this new work will no doubt delight Cave's many admirers. Released the day after the film, the mood of the record will no doubt touch on its themes.

Mick Harvey
Intoxicated Women

Mick Harvey has had an up-close-and-personal view of some of the last few decades’ finest songwriters, as veteran sideman to PJ Harvey and Nick Cave. For Intoxicated Women, he takes on the oeuvre of another legend of song: Serge Gainsbourg. Several guest vocalists help him out, such as Andrea Schroeder on the notable German cover of ‘Je T’aime’. On Mute.

The Birthday Party
Prayers On Fire

The Birthday Party were of course Nick Cave’s first group, and Prayers On Fire was their first record. Drenched in heroin and violence both threatened and enacted, this was a pretty strong statement to start a career with. A darkly cinematic trip, pressed premium-style in a replica sleeve. 1,500 copies only, on Drastic Plastic.

Grinderman
Grinderman

If Nick Cave didn't have enough to in 2007 dealing with his Bad Seeds he set up Grinderman as a more rock orientated project to explore once again the murky scuzz racket of his earlier band the Birthday Party. The first fruits of the project was this self titled debut which also featured Cave's long term right hand man Warren Ellis (the Dirty Three). The result was a raw and primal offering, sonically at odds with the more gentle yearning of his Bad Seeds work.

The Birthday Party
Junkyard

The sleeve always looks to me like the contents of Nick Cave's brain around the era of 1982. This was the final album by his art rock scuzz collective the Birthday Party and sees them sorta trying to weld the Stooges and Captain Beefheart together whilst taking copious amounts of drugs. A brutal and skewed album which was way ahead of its time in producing uncompromising sludge and primal racket.
