Sun Dial’s new album is here, and it's a collection of material composed for various “Space Themed” film soundtracks over the last two decades. Science Fiction: A Compendium of Space Soundtrax is suitably heavy on the electronics, and traces out a long-term cosmic vision over its tracklisting, despite the varied years of provenance. CD on the Sulatron label.

This is the remastered version of Modern Art’s ten-track cassette entitled Oriental Towers. At the height of punk in England, this record is complete opposite to what most kids were making music about, soft and subtle in parts with a mix of analogue instruments and early electronics. Limited to 500 copies and available on Vinyl LP.
Dave Schmidt of Electric Moon and Interkosmos runs Sulatron Records and brings Neo-Psych to the forefront, the latest offering is the UK’s Gary Ramon fronted project Sun Dial returning with a follow up to their 2012 album Mind Control. They’ve been travelling through psych-space for 26 years, so are your perfect guides.
Quad was the solo project of Gary Ramon, guitarist who played in Modern Art, Mystery Plane and Sun Dial. Quad was his solo venture during a break from Sun Dial, recorded between 1990 and 1997 with this self titled coming at the end. Long format improvised experimentations into mixing psychedelic krautrock with electronics. Switch on that black light, and disappear.
Sun Dial here reissue their 2012 album Mind Control, considering that it’s psychedelic strength is too mighty to waste on just one release. Fair enough, it is a pretty wild trip, your usual rock set-up being complemented with violin, mellotron, melodica etc. Two bonus tracks as well! CD on Sulatron.
