Steve Moore
s/t

Steve Moore has spent more time composing for the big and little screens these past few years, but if anything this experience seems to have made his output less 'cinematic' in the traditional sense. Whereas Moore’s previous entries for L.I.E.S. (2012’s Panther Moderns and 2011’s Zero-Point Field) were all widescreen hybrids of Detroit techno and Vangelis-isms, his new self-titled EP for Ron Morelli’s label is far more pared back. Only on the closing cut does Moore come close to his older sound, with the rest of Steve Moore opting for a sparse blend of kosmische synths and lilting programmed beats.

Steve Moore
Beloved Exile

Steve Moore is a noted figure within the modern synth community, respected for his soundtrack work and his duo Zombi. Beloved Exile is the first solo studio non-soundtrack album he has made in five years, and Moore leaps on the opportunity to fully follow his own path. Guests including Mary Lattimore and Emel Mathlouthi. On Temporary Residence.

Steve Moore
Other Voices 04

Zombi synth sorcerer Steve Moore contributes two helpings of kosmische reverie to Ghost Box’s ‘Other Voices’ 7” series. It’s a wonder this particular hook-up has taken so long to happen, as the correspondences between the haunted audio of Ghost Box and Moore’s own brand of gleaming retrofuturism are undeniable, while the two camps have maintained a mutual respect for some time. A (Tangerine) dream team, then.

Miracle
The Strife Of Love In A Dream

Here we are with more sci-fi synth heavy beat work, though this time pitting arpeggiated synths against distant chants and odd ritualistic darkness. This collaboration between Steve Moore and Daniel O'Sullivan also has ties to metallic genres, and so finds itself quite at home on the legendary Relapse Records.

Mayhem (Official Motion Picture Soundtrack)

Mayhem (Official Motion Picture Soundtrack) is by Steve Moore from Pennsylvanian synthwave duo Zombi. Mayhem is Steve Moore’s 5th soundtrack. His ability to lure the listener to the edge of their seat, increasing the fear within, as he builds the tension with his analogue synth sounds has made him one of the most wanted horror soundtrack composers out there.

The Mind's Eye - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

Steve Moore has history in Zombi, meaning that he’s demonstrated his talent for soundtracking spooooooky horror movies in the past. Here he applies his synth skills to The Mind’s Eye, weaving uneasy ambient passages and bombastic themes like it ain’t no thing. Plenty of tense dramatic music here that will certainly appeal to horror soundtrack aficionados. On Relapse.

The Guest

Available on black vinyl with obi strip. Steve Moore’s (Zombi) soundtrack to The Guest grabs you by the scruff of the neck and throws you back to the soundtracks of the 80s - with dark and brooding arpeggiators akin to The Terminator, sinister twinkling synths from Halloween and clattering percussion of, well, everything.

Cub - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

Cub is a properly nasty Belgian horror film about some young cub-scouts being hunted out in the wild. The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack by Steve Moore (of Zombi) captures the thick fug of tension very effectively, with synths that alternate between creepy arpeggios and massive dark swells. On Relapse.
