Brian was supposed to review this here Telepathe /Sunni Geini split 7" but he's so lazy he didn't do it. I've picked it up instead and it is a cool single. The Sunni Geini side reminds me of Modeselektor with its cut up electronic beats and dirty bass and vocal snippets. Nice glass smashing sounds and all. I suspect the Telepathe side is why most of you will buy it. On second listen this is a real grower with its shuffling snares and big synth sweeps. The female vocal hovers wonderfully over the stuttering kick drum. It's a really itchy rhythm and as the layers of synths build. It's a very original tune and difficult to describe. The first release on promising new label No Pain In Pop. Ltd edition already sold out at source. When its gone it's erm... gone.

NPIP resident and upcoming designer Tobias Warwick Jones has provided a unique and mystical double-sided cover.This is the debut UK single from NYCs finest. Chromes On It is beat driven art-punk, a shifting spiritual Brooklyn beat. It recalls Bjork, Animal Collective, and Liars. Sunni-Geini Main Theme is one of their poppier moments. It melds a shifting electro beat with vocal harmonies, cutting synth and breaking glass, simultaneously touching at dancehall, dubstep and J Dilla.
