Also on Qbico is one of their dangerously limited (that's my theme this week) editions of 125 copies. This one is by Mats Gustafsson and it's a 1 sided ltd affair of Jazz. Now, regular readers will know I'm absolutely terrified of jazz (and spiders) so I thought I'd confront at least one my demons this week. On my gravestone it will say at the bottom 'Here lies Phil Leigh, still hungry and still terrified of jazz'. Am getting it chiseled right now.... Anyway onto Mats G Plays Duke E which has Mats playing tenor 6 and making some reasonably harsh electronic sounds. If we had genres on our site (something we were gonna do) then this would plumply fall into the electronic jazz section. Fortunately the jazz is reasonably light and the electronics are plentiful which means I can cope with this release. One for you jazz boffins.
