And the last thang from me is a buzzing little 7" number by Schizo Fun Addict which just about describes my lifestyle. Or is that Shitzu drug addict? Anyway, this marbled green wax contains two very diverse tunes, both hotwired into the deviant soul of the 70s. Side one is like a kitch exploitation soundtrack number spliced with Tony Hatch (who did the Crossroads theme, thanks Phil, Mr Cheese Flange himself) It's a cover of george martin's 'Theme One' The flip, however, is the one that folks'll really be feeling though (It's a cover of Small Faces 'Ogden's Nut Gone Flake) as it's got a really hazy post Wicker Man feel, starting off like a junior Black Sabbath then going all psych kraut lounge with trippy lady vocals that will appeal to fans of Pram & Quickspace. The whole shebang does at times sound like Tom Cullinan indulging a slight Hawkwind or Fairport Convention obsession but also comes across like Broadcast being rutted by Spaceman 3 IE really bloody good. So two moods for your two heads, worth the price for the Smaces re-jig alone!
