I love a bit of psychedelic folk me..... Those first two Aritomo albums we had a while back flew out they did. And for a good reason..... not cos they were tiny Japanese vinyl private pressings of 200... oh no.. cos the music was smart. Here's number three called 'The Heart Organs That Becomes A Bird' and this one is limited to 200 copies. Firstly the packaging is amazing. All the sleeves are hand assembled with thick cardboard, some of 'em are hand drawn (with different designs). Inside the gatefold sleeve you get more handmade designs, the inner sleeve has hand stamped lovelyness on and there's a booklet inside with some of Aritomo's drawings. You see what makes this thing extra special is the artwork that Aritomo designs... there's some fantastic drawings in there. On the record itself you get 12 tracks of bonkers Japanese sounding psych folk. It's very eerie sounding yet playful. The effect on his voice makes it all sound a bit ghostly at times. The guitar playing is lush and there's some weird toy sounding things in the background of some of the tracks parping along, adding to the general spooky/fun vibe. It's very personal music and you get an insight into the manmind of Aritomo himself. Fragile and heartfelt also spring to mind.... so do pixies riding unicorns with blood dripping off them while they fly up to heaven holding special mushrooms. I've always been unsure as to who this guy sounds like... I know you folks like comparisons but I struggle with this guy as he's out there on his own, but I think if you're into the Locust/ Fonal/ Drag City side of weird folk music this is for you. We have a paltry 40 copies and they won't last long so be quick!! When it's gone it's gone!! Also we've got a handful of the belting 7" he did on Bracken records which is something you should have in your life unless you've not been looking after yourself. This is some cool otherworldly shit mamma.

I made this LP by only me. Lyrics, Songwriting, Recording, Mixing, All instruments, All artworks... This LP was recorded by home-recording in during August 2007 and February 2008. I make music by my unconsciousness. Therefore I do not know the meaning of my music. However, I think that those include my beautiful imagination, and immaturity of my mind. The image why I expressed in the LP is this, A neck and feathers grow from a heart organ, It becomes the bird and flies, The sky is beautiful, However, the bird is lonely. Because my music shows scenery, I am saved. If you can see scenery by this music, I am glad.
