Kid Carpet releases a chirpy if not slightly annoying single on Sunday Best. 'I Don't Want To Fall In Love With You' is possibly a bit novelty for my tastes. The music reminds me a bit of Material Girl by Madonna.... you got that, a simple repetitive beat, some naff lyrics sung in a chirpy Jamie T esque style with some nice samples in the background. I don't ever want to hear another song about falling In love again though... seriously.... the songs about love have to stop now. 7" only though we're gonna chuck the 3 track promo CD in one of the copies we got randomly so one of you will get a nice surprise!

What their label says...

With a very loyal fanbase in the UK, Ed (Kid Carpet) is currently in middle of an extensive European tour supporting Presidents Of The USA, and numerous other key European festival dates & headline gigs scheduled for 2008.   This is first single taken from KC’S first album for Sunday Best, ‘Casio Royale’, revealing a matured pop sensibility to his songwriting.
The 7” B-side is a cover of Tom Jones classic ‘Help Yourself’.   UK party-starters, The Loose Cannons, deliver a Sinden & Hervé style (download only) house mix bound to rock clubfloors – early support from Laurent Garnier, Nico De Ceglia, Leo Belchetz, Yousef & Zimbardo.
