'Another Fight' is the new single from Theoretical Girl & it's a perky, poppy thing with some really lovely touches & a perfect female vocal under a subtle chugger of a song. There's a real sense of sadness about this tune and it totally wins my heart over as this is where the boundaries between quality indie guitar & perfect pop are lovingly blurred. I'd love to deliver more kudos but I'm just happy for this addictive charmer to hit the airwaves and the simple but not too sugary vocal refrain to snake into everybody's conscience. Perfect! Ltd 7" only!

What their label says...

Produced by Luke Smith (formerly of Clor, whose recent production credits include FrYars, Damn Shames and Tom Vek), it’s a brooding opus that tells an intimate, melancholic tale of love and regret and shows yet another dimension to this star in waiting.
‘Another Fight’ is the follow up to the sultry and compelling ‘The Hypocrite’, a limited edition release that met with rave reviews and sold out within days.   Theoretical Girl is Southend-on Sea’s finest export and it was there that she discovered her passion for music, initially by listening obsessively as a child to her father’s Motown collection and later as a teenager in a dusty record shop that became her second home. It was here she first discovered Nick Drake, Neil Young, Big Star, Dusty Springfield, Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris, Fleetwood Mac and post punk – all influences that have nurtured and shaped her sound.
Theoretical Girl is fast gaining a reputation as an exciting and original live proposition and has already supported the likes of Maximo Park, Robyn, Calvin Harris, Kate Nash and Good Shoes.
