Sons & Daughters have the title track from their recent LP out as a single. 'This Gift' It's a right rollocking old scottish indie rock out with enough riffage to keep you regular. I've never actually noticed before but the girls voice is actually quite sexy. She really takes lead of the track and the rhythm section hold the track down tightly. This aint really my bag but it's a catchy little tune. Produced by Bernard Butlar who remarkably manages not to make it sound so horrible I want to dunk my knackers into a vat of piping hot chip oil. The B-side is called 'The Party' I don't know what on earth they're on about although I do have a friend that said he went to one once.

What their label says...

Album title track ‘This Gift’ is realised with a heady mix of contrasting guitar riffs. Plunging from desert rock into singing indie and back to Goth-blues, Sons & Daughters come on like a Scottish Queens Of The Stone Age spliced with The Smiths.
The single is available on 7” backed with ‘The Party’, a brand new exclusive track.
The band recently completed a short arena tour as special guests to Editors before heading stateside for an unprecedented five shows at SXSW and their own headlining US dates.
