Oren Ambarchi has a new LP out called 'In The Pendulum's Embrace' on Southern Lord. This is beautiful atmospheric gear made with strings, bells, guitars, piano, etc and it's very soundtrack sounding. It's a bit like a more reduced stripped down version of the recent Earth stuff. It's certainly very listenable.... moorish like biscuits.

Ambarchi is a continuing collaborator with Sunn0))), appearing on Black One. He has also toured extensively in the USA, Europe, Japan and Australia with Sunn0))) and is a member of the sub-bass trio side project Burial Chamber Trio with Attila Csihar (Mayhem) and Greg Anderson (Sunn0))), Ascend).
This is his second release on Southern Lord, following 2005’s Triste album.
CD available on Touch Music. LP contains exclusive vinyl only bonus track.
This album was designed by J. Wozencroft (of avantgarde label Touch, with whom Ambarchi has had several releases). LP comes beautifully packaged in a mini-gatefold "old" LP style jacket.
