Nurse With Wound are back with a new white vinyl 12" on Dirter. It's called 'The Bacteria Magnet' and I have to say the sleeve is rather striking. Part sexy woman, part industrialized headless woman I can pretty much guarantee you'll look twice when you see it. The lead track creates a whole new genre called traffic jazz..... loads of road noises over a funky jazz beat.... There's some completely nuts samples in there and I'm reminded of People Like Us. It's that sort of plunderphonics/ noise terrorism I can happily live with as it's on the more entertaining tip than the disturbing tip (Ant's side). It still has a slightly twisted side to it but compared to heir debut 'Chance Meeting On A Dissecting Table Of A Sewing Machine And An Umbrella' its like listening to Abba. I have to say it's absolutely brilliant and one of the best things I've heard in weeks. Genius.
