Duluth, Minnesota is the home of Charlie Parr, an authentic porch bluesman who's twice struck my heartstrings in the Packhorse pub in Leeds when our Clinton put him on like a proud son making a heartwarming gesture of solidarity. Two of the best nights out i've ever had too. If you've been blessed with his few albums then you'll understand what a rare talent the man is and 'Worried Blues' is a fine place to start, one of his classic, stomping bluegrass infected tunes that gets right into your spirit. His first vinyl appearance to my knowledge (Correct me if wrong) 'Write Me A Few Lines' on the flip is a cover of a Mississippi Fred McDowell tune, all captivating steel guitar fretwonderment and barroom joy. A right energetic & vital piece of music, Ltd 7" on End of the Road, 500 for the world!

What their label says...

It must be a crazy world when “authenticis a term used to separate an artist from the pack. Charlie Parr is a folk and country blues musician who is routinely labeled “authenticand “the real dealby fans and critics alike. Charlie shows up with a lived-in rasp of a voice, National resonator and 12-string acoustic guitars, a banjo and a batch of his own songs and well-traveled numbers by Mississippi John Hurt, Charley Patton and other cohorts from another time. He lays it on you, and you sense that the gamblers, the union workers, the criminals and the sinners that wander around his songs are peering right over your shoulder. Anyways on that note End of the Road Records will be releasing his first ever Vinyl pressing which will be the instantly likeable Worried Blues as the A side and the B side a Misspipi Fred McDowell cover. The pressing will be limited to 500 only. Highly recommended
