I have a bit of a soft spot for The Lodger. Their last album was just great pop music. Well here's the new fruits from their forthcoming album (Life Is Sweet) and it's a 7" on Bad Sneakers called 'The Good Old Day'. I quite like it though I swear bits of it remind me of a song by The Nolans. I'm reasonably sure that I won't be quoted anywhere on that one. It's still smashing pop music and if you like the Cribs but with a poppier edge you'll like this.

The Lodger have released three previous singles on Dance To The Radio and Angular Recordings. Debut album ‘Grown Ups’ was released on Angular Records in 2007.
