For some reason Domino have decided to re release Galaxy of The Lost by Lightspeed Champion. It doesn't seem too long since it was released the 1st time? Maybe time is moving too slowly (or quicker..... I'm too tired to work it out now). Anyway this is the best tune the guy has done. I'll admit it's a winner but it's been played so much in the office that I never want to hear it again. Sweet and sour and this time there's no chicken on the sleeve. It's on 2 x 7" and CD all with different tracks and mixes by White Williams and Semifinalists (a band someone is ploughing loads of cash into making popular at the mo).

Love this record? Hate it? Tell us.

Molly The Dog : Inspiration

Following the huge critical acclaim for debut album ‘Falling Off The Lavender Bridge’, Domino are proud to reissue ‘Galaxy Of The Lost’, an infectious tune teamed up with heartfelt lyrics.
‘Galaxy Of The Lost’ is a beautifully arranged, infectious tune, which features drums, bass, pedal steel and string arrangements from an informal backing band of Omaha luminaries such as Nate Walcott and The Faint’s drummer Clark Baechle. It also includes sweet backing vocals and harmonies from Emmy The Great. The song hinges on the ambivalent couplet: “I feel better now I’ve seen you/But deep inside my bones feel like timber”, that time-honoured ‘can’t live with ’em, can’t live without ’em’ scenario.
Plays were all across the board from Zane Lowe to Marc Riley and Jo Whiley back in July and the track was also playlisted on XFM and 6 Music.
