Onto Magpahi. This EP totally confused me as there's no mention of magpahi anywhere on the sleeve... mind you it doesn't take much. 6 tracks of gentle paced folk for you. I think she was on the Bearded Ladies comp that came out a while back on Finders Keepers/ Bird Records 'n all. This is proper folk.... none of your twee singer songwriter gear which is construed as folk by lazy goons. It's proper twiddly dee honest to goodness old sounding folk which will have you growing beards (I almost typed bears...) and moving to your nearest lighthouse at the earliest available opportunity. It's very good actually and if you liked the gear on Singing Knives we got the other week, Sharron Kraus etc you'll want this mother.
