Holy Fuck release a 7" and 12" called 'Lovely Allen' on the Young Turks label. I missed these when they came out and I only heard the album recently which quietly blew me away... Super nuts futuristic space rock which I wasn't expecting. Lovely Allen is one of the more commercial tunes from the album and it's an anthemic thing which builds and builds with strings until it ends up sounding all pompous like Sigur Ros doing space rock or even some hands fisting in the air Mogwai. Weird prog space rock pop.... That sums it up quite nicely and I have to say this is pretty cool. It reminds our Brian of 'Leathergirls' by Death In Vegas!

“The most incessantly incendiary drum-pummelling and membrane-melting synth-scalding you’re ever likely to hear” – NME Holy Fuck burst on to the UK music scene last summer, when their blistering live shows caught the imagination of all who watched them - NME named them as one of the Top Three live acts at Glastonbury last year. The band are now set to release one of the stand-out tracks from ‘LP’, the exhilarating ‘Lovely Allen’. It’s a kaleidoscopic, pop masterpiece that bursts in to life with a riotous backdrop of sunshine-led synths and a contagious string-effect hook. The single comes backed with a studio version of ‘Super Inuit’ (a live version appeared on ‘LP’), plus remixes of the lead track from Riton, Minotaur Shock and No Age. “A real one-off” – Observer Music Monthly; “Chaotic, grungy and very hip” – The Times.
