Various Production :'Diver' (Various Production) Always a good proposition for the ideal way to present music in a century such as this. Keep anonymous, have stunning artwork and packaging, a varied approach to adopting and adapting to styles and genres. Obviously talented and with a knack for the keeping with the zietgeist, VA give us their take on the latest fad for bouncy, bassline led house with slabs of analogue smudge. On the flip a grimey, lo-fi take on dubstep skank with one finger keyboard lines, an inspired vocal contribution from M.I.A is the leading cut for me. To end there's a very techy, bass led bounce with percussive fills all with the favoured metallic analogue edge.

What their label says...

Following the 24-hour sell-out of their ‘Misc001’ bag, Various Production have retreated back into the studio to complete work on their next album, but in the meantime they’re adding to their now-legendary run of singles with this latest EP of twisted bass mechnics. Previously only available as a 200-copy screen-printed 12” included in ‘Misc001’, this three-track vinyl now sees a full release, complete with brand new artwork from long-time visual collaborator Bonsey. ‘Pintman’ (featuring a cheeky MIA sample) has already been played by DJs as diverse as Skream and XFM’s John Kennedy, while ‘Diver’ and ‘Monster’ support the claim that these are the most upfront and next-level productions from Various in quite some time.
