What their label says...

I Concur’s first single release follows the band’s debut EP, Whatever it’s going to be, which was self-released in June ’07.  The band’s track Decimal Places, taken from said EP, featured on Out of the Woods and Trees - the recent compilation from emerging label Dance To The Radio including such names as ¡Forward Russia!, The Pigeon Detectives, Snowden and Howling Bells. 2007 also saw them support the likes of The Hold Steady, Youthmovies, Naopleon IIIrd, The Duke Spirit and Vessels. The single’s two tracks are both based on fictional stories - Lucky Jack on an heroic voyage by Patrick O’Brian’s literary creation, Captain ‘Lucky’ Jack Aubrey, and Build Around Me on the legend behind the Pennine farmhouse located in-between the split carriageways of the M62 motorway.  Both tracks see i Concur progressing their original mid-west indie into a driving wall of heavier noise more akin to My Bloody Valentine or Godspeed You! Black Emperor. Following on from where they left off last year the band head out for a 12 date UK tour which includes 6 support slots with Vessels who are currently being tipped for big things in 2008 by most music publications.
