ANT    here with the third Thom Yorke remix 12" and its the one I've been waiting for, being a bit of a Surgeon fan since his first 12" many moons ago and having heard it on a DJ mix from the Manchester Warehouse sessions a year or so since.. He tackles 'The Clock' in a similar offbeat heavy way to his British Murder Boys gear with Regis. He keeps elements of the original vocal in there which work well. The drums are as crisp and fat as you'd expect with a nice crunchy 909 clap.If you're into the stuff on his own Counterbalance and Dynamic Tension labels then you'll lap up this cool mix from the brummy Techno master. The Bug remixes 'Harrowdown Hill' into a slow heavy dubwise hiphop hybrid that mutates into a crunchy, gritty, dubstepper. On first listen I'm slightly disappointed being that practically everything this guy touches turns into pure audio gold. Kompakt artist The Field's mix is a reduced 4/4 techno slow burner which builds nicely and you can hear tiny elements of the original creeping in. Deluxe gold embossed sleeve.
