Dishy Danes Figurines re-dress the balance with an odd ditty called 'Hey Girl'. Also blatantly built for radio like most of today's eager beaver singles are, this has a strange, perky strut to it, a freshness in it's strummy, effortless pace, playful sing-song vocals, a (late) Beatles-ey guitar & a joyous refrain fading into the distance like the pied piper getting it's hooks into 2008's pop kids. It's funny how in this day & age, to find reasonably pleasing commercial guitar pop, you have to look right over towards Denmark & Sweden for inspiration. Because as far as these guys are concerned, the tunes are 10 times more vital than some London fashion blog 'image'. On Buzzin' Fly, 7" & 12" with a Prinz Thomas mix and that.
