The Raveonettes release their new party banger 'You Want The Candy' which is The Raveonettes by numbers. It couldn't be anyone at all except The Raveonettes.

Monotonous drum beat...check
Mary Chain fuzz.. check
Repetitive chorus... check
50's leather biker vibe... check
Obsession with Ronettes... check

Decent single though. It's something to do with sweets or drugs. I don't know which like and I couldn't give a crack. Or sniff one.

** THE RAVEONETTES continue to consist of Sune Rose Wagner (guitar/vocals) and Sharin Foo (guitar/vocals), and are still so supercool that while both of them were born and bred in Denmark, Sune now lives in New York while Sharin has been moving to LA.

** 'You Want The Candy' is the second single to be taken from the duo's third album, the breathlessly titled 'Lust Lust Lust' which came out on fierce panda last November to a veritable hailstorm of critical appreciation.
