Oh this Sunburned Hand Of The Man 'Weekend At Burnies 2' LP is just great. It kicks off with what sounds like Can and Captain Beefheart doing psychedelic jazz then the next track 'Leather Diaper/ Black Banana' busts out into a mammoth Slayer / Judas Priest metal fest with a vocal that puts a huge grin on your face and then has us laughing out loud with the word 'toilet'. The metal slows down into some black, muddy doom moments. You get the feeling that this isn't completely serious. Yes fun and improv avant garde music can peacefully co-exist. This is one twisted freaky record with enough variation to keep it constantly interesting. Their are hellish nightmare inducing parts that are like the worst trip imaginable. Like demons are talking to you, telling you bad things. Fans of Wolf Eyes take note. Ltd to 500 hand numbered copies on a variety of different colored vinyl on Blackest Rainbow.
