Phil here kicking off with Fulham's finest Clik Clik who release their debut on garish pink vinyl on Friends Vs Records Records. Their tale about trainers is going to appeal to almost anyone who wears 'em maybe..... Well maybe not but it's a reasonably bouncy throwaway piece of commercial catchy indie with it's heart slap bang in the more fashionable end of the genre. That sounded well highbrow! Must have been Mingus's brain I ate earlier. Am well zombie me.....'My Dunks' will appeal to folks who like New Young Pony Club and that kind of thing.

What their label says...

The Clik Clik are gifted London-based duo Stefan Abingdon and Maya Yianni – two teenagers whose infectious combination of classic British songwriting and their own smash and grab DIY production aesthetic has already got tongues wagging in the capital.

Stefan (Vocals & guitar, West Londoner, loves Elvis Costello, Sway, The Police and Glassjaw, been writing songs ever since a trip to Denmark Street to buy an acoustic guitar on his thirteenth birthday...) and Maya (Vocals, Somerset born and bred, half Greek-Cypriot, inspired by strong female artists from Billie Holiday to M.I.A...) are the product of an exciting new, musically diverse Britain. Writing and producing everything, they make music that sound like all your favourite iTunes playlists rolled into one.

With the addition of a bassist and drummer to beef up the live sound, The Clik Clik have been wowing London over the past months with a series of rapturously received live appearances. Walking with ease the line between sussed, smart attitude and and rough edged, wide-eyed pop, everything comes together perfectly on The Clik Clik's brilliant forthcoming fashion victim-bating ("and yes that does include myself" smiles Stefan) debut single 'My Dunks'.
