What their label says...

Björk releases her brand new single ‘Declare Independence’ on December 31st  2007 on One Little Indian Records.

Super deluxe packaging including two 12”, a CD and a DVD featuring Michel Gondry’s Declare Independence video.

A muscular and militant rallying cry, ‘Declare Independence’ sees Björk at her most passionate and inventive, replete with an electrified backbeat that picks up where last single ‘Innocence’ left off. Bristling with intense energy, this contemporary protest song sees Björk firmly on the march.

Taken from her new album ‘Volta’, ‘Declare Independence’ is written and produced by Björk, along with longtime collaborator Mark Bell (LFO). The track comes with an incredible video courtesy of celebrated Oscar winning French director Michel Gondry (‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’) with whom Björk has worked on acclaimed videos including ‘Army of Me’ and ‘Hyperballad’.

One of the best-reviewed albums of the year, NME described ‘Volta’ “another amazing statement of intent” while MOJO asserted it “bristles with life”.
