The Filthy Dukes are another of these electro/ indie bands along the line of Simian Mobile Disco and will probably appeal to folks who dig that. This just makes me feel old... it sounds like some 80's music to some bad bratpack film if you ask me.... People will try and convince you these are cool if you like Hot Chip you'll like these but I reckon if you like Erasure you'll like these.... One for you Justice, Simiain Mobile Disco, Hot Chip & Erasure fans. Apparently destined for big things but so are my underpants every morning (ha..I wish...) 'This Rhythm' is a limited 12" only thing.

What their label says...

A1: This Rhythm
B1: This Rhythm (Re-Werked Version)

•    This Rhythm features the distinctive vocal of Samuel Dust (lead singer of one of the most hotly-tipped bands of the moment, Late of The Pier).
•    Filthy Dukes AKA Olly Dixon and Tim Lawton and have made a name for themselves by remixing the likes of Maccabees and The Rakes, supporting LCD Soundsystem and Hot Chip and putting on some of the biggest and best parties in London under the umbrellas of Adventures in the Beetroot Field and Kill Em All.
•    They have teamed up with longstanding production partner Mark Ralph to release Filthy Dukes’ debut single, ‘This Rhythm’, which is without doubt destined to be one of the biggest tunes of the year.
•    It’s an infectious, euphoric, bleep-filled dancefloor anthem which binds together an array of electro-pop influences old and new, from New Order to Simian Mobile Disco.
•    Filthy Dukes have gathered a variety of cutting edge musical pioneers to be involved with the making of their upcoming studio releases. If ‘This Rhythm’ is anything to go by, they are guaranteed to be one of the biggest crossover artists across indiedom and clubland alike.
