Johnny Flynn has a new 7" out and yes he's still with his Sussex Wit. He's on a big fat label now (Vertigo) and thankfully it's better than his last single which was too much like the Levellers for me. This is more twiddly perky folk like their great debut single. I can still hear James in 'em though..... It's like a more folky country tinged James. 'The Box' is 7" only and numbered of 10 million (ish). Comes with a printed inner sleeve... nice touch for a 7"!

What their label says...

Johnny Flynn and his band, The Sussex Wit, have just finished a UK tour supporting Jack Penate. He entered Bearcreek Studios, Seattle last month to begin working on his debut album with producer Ryan Hadlock (The Gossip).
'The Box’ is his first single released through Vertigo Records on November 19th described as
“a wonderfully lazy, acoustic guitar driven song”
“nostalgia-steeped country-folk is hung on its clever lyrical refrains” Guardian Online

The Box is available on Numbered 7"
