Sigur Ros: 'Hljomalind' / 'Staralfur' (EMI) A limited edition 7" single only released to accompany a forthcoming 2 CD set and film produced by the band. Words like 'elegiac', 'dramatic' and 'emotional' spring to mind when considering the likes of these Icelandic ponderers. Suitably moody artwork of a blurry Northern Hemisphere mountainside easily summon up the mood of the music and quiet sing-song vocals. You know Sigur Ros, you get strings, strums, brushed drums and deep introspection. You know you love it...

What their label says...
Ahead of the 5th November release date for the Sigur Ros film
"Heima" and it's companion 2CD set "Hvarf - Heim", Sigur Ros release
this limited edition 7" vinyl single that showcases both sides of the
"Hvarf - Heim" album*.
"Hljomalind" is a song the band wrote
during the first sessions after the "Ágætis Byrjun" album and it was
recorded for a possible EP that never saw the light of day. This
version was recorded earlier this year at the band's studio outside
Reykjavik.
"Starálfur" was originally featured on the "Ágætis
Byrjun" album, but this live, acoustic version was also recorded
earlier this year for the "Heima" film.
The single is pressed
onto heavyweight black vinyl and features a full colour card sleeve
with die-cut centre / label holes and is packaged in a PVC wallet with
band name and title printed on the front.
