OVERVIEW:
HIM preview their upcoming sixth album 'Venus Doom' with the release of
the new single 'Kiss Of Dawn' on September 10th on Warners/Sire.
Produced by Tim Palmer (U2, The Cure), co-produced by Hilli Hiilesmaa
with HIM and recorded in Helsinki, 'Kiss of Dawn' combines HIM's
anthemic approach with a doom-laden edge that recalls enigmatic
vocalist Ville Valo's love for classic Black Sabbath. 'Venus Doom'
represents HIM's heaviest album to date. Songs such as 'Love In Cold
Blood', 'Passion's Killing Floor' and 'Bleed Well' are more grandiose
and riff-laden than what the band have previously delivered. Having
recently guested to Metallica as the main support at their gargantuan
Wembley Stadium shows, HIM have now announced a full 2007 headline tour.
