First up the lucky lady getting my full attention is Candie Payne with a new single called "One more chance" on ...oh I dunno some big faceless label (ok, ok its Deltasonic). I saw her on Jools Holland months back and thought she was a bit too old. She needs to be younger (how did that slip past the marketing men?). anyway despite her advanced years she's stumbled along in her zimmer frame to give us a slice of '60's pop that only fails slightly because it doesn't have that correct 60's dust and you can tell it was made in a posh studio last week. Anyway she's kind of the female ying to Richard Hawley's yang.
