Can you believe that DFA are re-releasing the first Pylon album. I'm incredibly excited. Original Athens GA punk funkers. Can't wait. Anyway we're not sure if this Shocking Pinks stuff they are putting out no is new or old. We think the album is a comp of stuff (but its not out yet so ignore me). This single called "The Narrator" is the third n a series of 7"'s and has that New Zealand vibe to it. Its a mixture of all kinds of different stuff like your classic old skool independent bands roll into one - The Chills, Stereolab, Slowdive (ok not the last one but it does have a ambient shoegazy vibe). I've just realised I've used the word vibe twice so far today.
