The Go! Team's new stuff I expected to be a little more raucous from the plethora of positive reviews but they still do irresistable cheerleader pop that just screams like a tougher sassier version of Belle & sebastian in their Legal Man incarnation. That's what 'Doing it right' says to these ears. An apt title indeed as this multicultural gang of Brighton party folk merge some marvellous influences seamlessly. They seem to have discovered a tremelo arm on the b-side but really, with the bedroom rave scene in full converse scorching mode these days, this bunch are the ultimate distillation of floor filling good times & life affirming delight. So obviously they're evil (naaaaat)
