"Just Got to Be" (V2) As you may or may not already know are a
couple of white boys who to me make the funkiest blues racket this side of that
other blues type duo The Black Stripes. Maybe they could both have a name
change, still both sides, despite Phil's protestations, are good examples of bar
room / truck stop kick ass rawk. Yes we are still in the 21st century! Good
quality nostalgic fun.

The Black Keys release their new single “Just Got To Be” / “Black Door” through V2 Records The band will also be re-releasing their album “Magic Potion” on 13.8.2007 and this new version will contain a live DVD as well as the videos for “Your Touch” and the brand new single “Just Got To Be”. The Black Keys hail from Akron, Ohio, and the band have released the following albums over the last five years, The Big Come Up (2002), Thickfreakness (2003), Rubber Factory (2004) & Magic Potion (2006). An explosive live act, the last time The Black Keys played in London they sold out Shepherds Bush Empire twice and the Forum in one week. The Black Keys have recently completed a sold out tour in the US, playing with the likes of Dinosaur, Jr. The band are also playing key rock festivals including Coachella, Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza which commences on August 3rd in Chicago. The Black Keys sound is crossed between John Lee Hooker style juiced out of the skull blues, blended with white soul of Free and Led Zep at their most primal. The Black Keys are Dan Auerbach (vocals / guitars) and Patrick Carney (drums).
