V/A: Expanding Meets Spark (Expanding/Spark) Wherein the British and Spanish electronica imprints let three of each of their artists loose on this 10" picture disc ep. The artists from the London are: Flotel, Modern Institute & Monoceros whilst from Barcelona we have Tape, Luap, Eedl. Sounds like the school of electronica devoted to all things melodic and nostalgic has formed itself into an organic stew of both the synthesized and the acoustic with organically evolving structures built around chiming tones and woody, reedy acoustics. Soft padded warmth and dislocated percussion.

Following a close friendship and working relationship that now stretches back over six Sonar festivals and  beyond, this limited (500) six-track ten-inch picture mini LP is a collaboration between two of Europe’s best-loved contemporary electronic labels, London’s Expanding and Barcelona’s Spa.rk.
