Oh blessed we are!!! ....Beirut's new 7" sweeps onto the turntable with such grace its makes my toes curl, my heart melt, my ears swoon, my blood pressure drop. My words cannot describe the beauty of this record I feel a mute in its grandiose (ness) as it dances in the air like a sexy fairy.... ha ha ha ok enough flowery chat from me, that Elephant Gun is a fucking tuuuuuuune!!!! If you ain't heard him he's like a 20 year old emotionally fragile Morrissey/Sinatra leading an innovative and powerful brass ensemble. B sides exciting too as we're hearing new material form the band. One song about some dude getting his house burnt down and a cover version of Le Moribond by Jacques Brel. He's singing in French... it's funny... I'm giddy... Crack the red wine we're having a party!!!! OUI OUI OUI ...limited on 4AD!!!
