OVERVIEW: Following up their kick ass return to the charts with ‘You Can’t Have it All’, Ash return with their most mature and radio friendly record of their career entitled ‘Polaris’. The track sees songwriter Tim Wheeler candidly narrating a tale of heartbreak and emerged when Tim happened upon a certain Bono whilst holidaying in the south of France, the meeting concluded with a stay at Bono’s residence where upon Wheeler began writing and playing what was to emerge as ‘Polaris’. The songs original intro still remains on the final recording along with an amazing string arrangement by the legendary and Grammy Award Winner Paul Buckmester (most known for his string arrangements on Harry Nilsson’s ‘Without You’ and Carly Simon’s ‘You’re So Vain’). ‘Polaris’ is released on 2 x 7” and CD all containing brand new tracks.
