Bradford's Unique 3 Crew dropped 'The Theme' in 1988 and it inspired the likes of Richard H Kirk's Sweet Exorcist project, LFO and the bleep scene was born with its huge sub bass that preceeded dubstep by a good 15 years or so.... Autechre have done a remix that keeps the foundations of the original intact, slowing the tempo slightly and making a a little bit darker. It's clear that they have so much respect for the original that they have chosen not to mangle it into a million pieces and reassemble it. Zilla does a remix on the flipside that adds his own sound. Neither can touch the original though... Ltd coloured 10" wax on Fat Records.
