Friendly Fires then with a 3 track 10" called 'Cross The Line' Apparently they're being pigeon holed in the 'New Rave' scene. Even typing those words makes me eek. 'Strobe' is a manic ants in yer pants track somewhere between The Specials and Talking Heads with a side order of punk funk. On People In The Sky.

What their label says...

Friendly Fires are quickly establishing themselves as “One of the most exciting new bands in the UK” (NME). Their previous debut release ‘Photobooth E.P’ received shining coverage in the press – Vice 10/10, Fact Magazines “Best 12”s of 2006” and ‘Ones To Watch’ accolades from NME and MTV. Though occasionally lumped in with the New Rave scene due to their age and the fact they make dance music whilst wielding guitars, they owe more to Talking Heads and M83 than they do Suburban Base B Sides.
Remix EP featuring Mock and Toof, Franz + Shape, Nightmoves and Chris Clark is soon to follow. People in The Sky are set up to tap into the growing crossover between indie and dance… with releases from upcoming acts Wax Stag (featured on Hot Chip DJ Kicks compilation), Shesus and Friendly Fires building the momentum.
