When I heard that Johnny Marr had joined Modest Mouse I was so shocked I didn't believe what I was told.... It's like someone saying the Queen has joined Eastenders or something. After hearing this new single (Dashboard) it kind of makes sense as his jangly style guitar fits in with what Modest Mouse do rather well. It reminds me a bit of later (ie the more poppy) Talking Heads. It's not bad at all... I like the B side a lot (King Rat) a lot more than the A side. It's all very proper and grown up these days though.... You know Mojo are gonna be loving this.
