That new Dizzee Rascal single rules. Sirens kicks ass. The video features a man on a horse which always gets thumbs up in my book. I think this is summat to do with avoiding the fuzz. There's police sirens ahoy and there's some loud kick ass guitar in it as well which I wasn't expecting. We have a very special price on the 12" for a wee while so be quick cos you won't find it that cheap anywhere!! Reminds me of that Aerosmith/ Run DMC thing at times....

What their label says...

It’s been over two years since Dizzee Rascal released his critically acclaimed second album ‘Showtime’ and nearly four years since the release of his groundbreaking, Mercury prize winning debut ‘Boy In Da Corner’. For an artist as prolific as Dizzee Rascal, it’s a long time to be away. Not that he hasn’t been busy, what with touring the world with artists like the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, signing artists to his own record label Dirtee Stank, building his own studio and writing and recording his third album. There’s been more than enough to keep him occupied.‘Sirens’ then is the first taste of new album ‘Maths & English’ (due for release early this summer) and is a massive sounding return for the boy from London.Written by Dizzee and produced by Cage and field tested on humans at the Reading and Leeds festival last year to great acclaim, ‘Sirens’ is huge, with thunderous guitar riffs and a pounding drum beat.  It’s a statement of intent and a classic sounding hip-hop tune  – think Jay Z’s ‘99 Problems’ or N.W.A’s ‘Straight Outta Compton’.
