Yes the indie continues with Land of Talk on Label Fandango. What does this sound like?? Initially I think it's interesting though. The best thing I've heard on the label in fact.... The guitars are err... well guitarry.. nice and loud sounding with the vocalist (Elizabeth) pilling over some intense-ness. This kicks ass actually Am well impressed. Well good female fronted indie rock music... the music itself reminds me a bit of Broken Social Scene. I like!!

What their label says...
New from the ever collectable Fandango label. 'Speak To Me Bones' is LAND OF TALK's debut UK release and is taken from their sublimely titled Canadian mini-album 'Applause Cheer Boo Hiss', released last Fall. A fine melange of pleasingly-struck powerchords and violent riffage it is too, and if the passive / aggressive vocalising of Elizabeth Powell resonates with a depth beyond mere indierock posturing this is no surprise - she has been banging out "Anti-folk basement rock" in one guise or another since she was fourteen years old.
