Here's a new 7" on Kids by Band Of Horses. It's hand numbered of 750 copies and it includes a piece of paper inside which gives you a code to downlaod a free MP3 version of it. We like!! The vocals sound like some 70's prog god.... just like Peter Cetera in fact. The music ain't bad... Nice slab of indie infused americana for you. It's called The Funeral which is well chirpy. Ant thinks it sounds like something from the Karate Kid film. Mingus has piped up with Toto. There you go then.... Peter Cetera, The Karate Kid and Toto. Job's a good 'un.

TRACKLISTING: A) The Funeral, B) The End’s Not Near (non-album track),

OVERVIEW: Seattle’s Band of Horses will release the single ‘The Funeral’ on 21 May 2007 through London-based indie label KIDS.  They will also play four UK dates as part of their European tour, including All Tomorrow’s Parties on 20 May and a headline show at London’s Scala on 22 May (already sold-out). ‘The Funeral’ is Band of Horses’ first UK release, and follows releases on KIDS from The Wombats, Paul Hartnoll, The Whip and Assembly Now. ‘The Funeral’ is one of many highlights from Band Of Horses’ warmly received debut album Everything All The Time, released in the US through Sub Pop.  The track perfectly showcases the band’s soaring, atmospheric pop, buoyed by Ben Bridwell’s plaintive, reverb-soaked vocals which recall My Morning Jacket and The Shins.  The single is backed with the exclusive non-album track ‘The End’s Not Near’.
