Voxtrot now with their new 7" called Blood Red Blood on Play louder recordings. A "proper tune" now with good use of strings in the chorus. Nice enough but pretty uninspiring. Musically it sounds a bit like Pulp with out the ecstatic high the Sheffield lads  hit..... drifty ambling  indie plop

What their label says...

A song striking in its perfect construction, ‘Blood Red Blood’ oozes with an unashamedly pop-hearted melody, but builds with intelligent and beautifully layered instrumentation. Strong, pulsating drums and bass offer a continuous flow in which vigorous guitar riffs build and bleed into gentle violins, before the devilishly infectious and climatic chorus of swirling saxophone and emotive, soaring vocals.   It’s simple and complex, powerful and gently pretty and – like every one of its fellow album tracks – ‘Blood Red Blood’ is as instant as it is unforgettable. B-side is live favourite ‘New Love’, a delicious slab of joyous indie-pop, with Beatle-esque jangling guitar, danceable bass and uplifting, foot tapping drums. After playing an ecstatic, energised and packed-out headlining show at London’s Water Rats, proceeded to the NME Awards Show gig at Astoria in February. Voxtrot plan to return to the UK in early May, and then again, in late Summer for a string of shows and festival appearances. Voxtrot’s debut album is set for release in late Summer on Playlouderecordings.
