Dog Day with Lydia. A sonic shimmering pop song with DIY sensibilities and fast strummed drop shoulder guitar action. Female vocals break into the slack arse approach of lead single Seth Smith. All clocking in in 2 minutes. B-side sounds like early REM from the Mumour period or contempary Notwist. Cool shit for fans of Pavement and american Indie rock.

What their label says...

‘Lydia’ is the newest offering from Canadian art-pop outfit Dog Day. Coming in a less than two minutes, the track is a perfect taster for the band’s upcoming full length album ‘Night Group’.
Although the song takes its name from a cat, singer Seth Smith’s doublespeak makes us wonder if he is instead
musing about alienation, surrender, love-loss, or some other existential crisis. As for the band, they’re in a frenzy...
