The second release from Leeds' Wild Beasts entitled "Through Dark Night" on Bad Sneakers but apparently signed to the Domino empire. Otherwise known as 'the guy w/ the wierd voice'. One of those offerings you'll either love or hate, the instrumentation reminds me of classic mid-80's jangly indie-pop. Think Orange Juice, Aztec Camera, Lloyd Cole but with annoyingly pompous, some say 'original', strangled choirboy singing. Maybe it's the singing that marks them out from hyped bands that sing in their own dialects/accents.

What their label says...

Hotly tipped new band Wild Beasts, recently signed to Domino, with their final single on Bad Sneakers (home to Sugars and Acutes), acclaimed by NME, Pitchfork Media and Guardian.  ·Intelligent, quirky, offbeat, original and incredibly catchy pop music.
